Pickling Cucumbers

Pickling Cucumbers
Pickling cucumbers are usually shorter and stouter than slicing cucumbers, the better to fit into jars, and they often have thick, warty skins. They're hard to find in supermarkets, but you can often find them during the summer months in farmers' markets.
